Hoops is a story, in fragments, about storytelling. It looks at the way we tell our own stories, usually the same ones over and over, and how in these retellings, elements from other experiences become interwoven and relevant - though they may not be truthful inclusions.
The Reckoning is a visual means of trying process an unwieldy experience. It is not every woman's experience of the same thing, nor is it every woman's experience at all. But it is not unique. Motherhood is this way itself.
